1607 : The Dauphin, the future Louis XIII, visits the hunting lodge

In the summer of 1607, the Dauphin, the future Louis XIII, took part in a hunt near Versailles with his father king Henri IV. He was taken here for the first time on 24 August 1607. Versailles, located to the south-west of the palace of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, was then a small medieval village of the Hurepoix region.
